And so, my
friend, we finally find ourselves at the final of the journey.
Those final Romeo & Juliet lines
were thrown in because I realized I was about to wrap it up, and I didn't
really do a very good job of tying it in with the story. In fact, Ms.
Wagner, almost only gave me a 95%. Which is still really good. But it
doesn't seem like it makes much sense to only drop off those five points, so
I asked her why, and she told me that it was because it didn't really have
much to do with the story. Then she flipped through again and, after a
moment's thought, bumped me up to full credit.
I'm not sure what happened to
her. That was her last year teaching at our school. Although, we seem to
change teachers quite often. I believe someone told me she went on to work
at the county Board of Education. But I personally have no idea.
Notice how Bub's eyes look
upwards as Kirby flies away. I was damn good with these sprites, even though
it was hours after my bedtime, and my parents were getting pissed that I
wasn't asleep, yet. And the challenge of printing was still yet to come. Due
to XP's stupid Printing Wizard feature, or whatever, it became impossible to
print any kind of picture without cropping the hell out of it. I ended up
printing every single frame of this on its own page. Full-size, too. I mean,
these things took up as much space on the paper as they could. Major waste?
Yes. Necessary? Probably not. But at the time, I really couldn't sit down
and think up any sort of work-around, so I was stuck with what first popped
into my mind.
As a final note, "cya" was
totally the lingo at the time, and most people would have considered it cool
to say. Well, type.
And that's my useless commentary
on my hopefully entertaining comic. Hope you had some sort fun. If not, you
can always go back to page one and try again. Good luck! |
